It’s no secret that Saturday Night Live had been on life support for a very, very long time, with nothing more than a few brief glimmers of brain activity every now and again. But the Trump presidency has infused new life into the comedy show. Below are all the best skits from last night’s show:
What to expect when attempting to enter the country while brown, a helpful educational video courtesy U.S. Customs and Border Protection:
White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer blowing a gasket, just like he did in his very first press briefing. Starring a hilarious Melissa McCarthy as Sean Spicer:
And finally, President Death Bannon, featuring the Grim Reaper and Alec Baldwin as Toddler Trump:

I pretty much couldn’t breath for the entire Melissa McCarthy as Spicer press conference. I thought it was the best episode in a while.

She killed it.
But, something I didn’t notice about the CBP educational video with Kate McKinnon until I was reading a commentary about it today...
The white dude that gets X’ed out and then the narrator is like “oh wait. You’re good.” ... he’s holding what looks like an assault rifle loosely wrapped up in some fabric. It happens fast and my tv is not very big, so I didn’t see it when it aired. Watch the clip and you’ll see it.

I can’t believe I’ve watched the Sean Spicer skit three times already. It’s gold!

Thank goodness. Out of the four years, we’ve only got four years, minus three weeks to go. Dear god help us.

snl always goes through peaks and troughs. I can’t imagine coming up with new episodes once a week, and getting it together for Saturday.
politics always help them as it gives them a muse to spoof.

Agreed. Though I have a feeling she will. Spicer’ll likely give her lots of source material.

I’d say that at least you’re safe across the pond, but you guys have Article 50 coming up, no? Seems like a shite time all around. :(

We’re across the pond but we’re also family.
A lot of what happens in some of the most powerful countries has a large knock on effect. His sentiments regarding China could effect the markets greatly.
We’ve got Article 50 that needs to be triggered. Prime Minister May wants to do it in March but different elements in Parliament want to stop it, delay ot or attach so many amendments to it to be almost impossible. I voted to remain but the vote went ahead without the standard referendum vote requirements of a certain percentage of the electorate, etc... What’s been done has been done, now we just need to get on with it. Gibraltar who voted unanimously to remain has accepted the result and want’s to move on aren’t whining, nor is Wales and Northern Ireland (the latter having most of the issues as it has a physical border with the Republic or Ireland, plus other issues, namely the ‘troubles’). Scotland is being the most vocal.
The business sector wants a second referendum vote for the nation, some of Scotland’s ministers are trying to put forward for a second referendum on Scottish independence.
It’s a cluster f**k but won’t affect the world’s economy s much as trump’s policies will.
